Artisan Eligibility & Residency Requirements

We encourage you to exhibit your one of a kind and limited edition work. An artisan who works in more than one media category must submit an application in each category. If only one is accepted only work in that category may be exhibited. Exhibitors who bring work that is not of the quality shown in slides or work not accepted will be removed from the show. All work must be original and handmade by the artist, or with assistance under the artist’s direct supervision. Artist’s designs replicated by a 3rd party on mass produced items are not acceptable; reproductions including giclée prints can only amount to 25% of your booth, must be clearly labeled and displayed in a secondary manner – in a bin not hung on the wall. In addition, the following items are not acceptable: objects made from commercially available kits, plans or patterns; imports; factory-made or assembled items and prints that do not have an archival lifespan of at least 20 years.

Exhibitors must be a permanent resident of Martha’s Vineyard or have met the residency requirements and been an approved exhibitor of the Vineyard Artisans Festivals prior to January 15, 2005.
